Ulrich Grimm, Global Head of Non-apparel Design, to Depart Calvin Klein After 22 Years

Ulrich Grimm, global head of non-apparel design at Calvin Klein Inc., is leaving the company, effective Aug. 2.

Grimm has been with Calvin Klein for almost 22 years and previously served as executive vice president, design, shoes and accessories.

During his time at the brand, the highly regarded Grimm built a strong global alignment across its accessories, including some of the licensed categories such as eyewear and watches and jewelry. He oversaw design for accessories, footwear and home.

Reached for comment, Grimm told WWD that following the pandemic, several CKI divisions were restructured, and his position was eliminated. He said he’s planning to enjoy the rest of the summer at the beach and then explore opportunities either in New York or potentially return to Europe for the right opportunity.

Colorado State pauses football after 8 positives

Colorado State says it will pause football team activities after eight known positive tests for COVID-19.

A full team test will be administered as early as next week, the university said Wednesday. The Rams are anticipating a return within two weeks.

The school said there were eight positive tests out of 140 conducted since football student-athletes returned to campus in June.

Michigan State says 16 athletes tested positive

The Latest on the effects of the coronavirus outbreak on sports around the world:

Michigan State says 16 of 122 athletes tested positive for the new coronavirus during the week of July 20-24 and

four athletic department staff members tested positive from July 18-24.

Those figures include two staff members and an athlete whose positive tests were previously announced. Michigan State’s football team is currently awaiting the end of a 14-day quarantine.

The school’s announcement Monday did not specify how many of the 16 positive tests involved football players.The earliest possible return to workouts for football players is Aug. 4, and players will undergo surveillance testing before being cleared to return.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have placed four rookies – cornerback Luq Barcoo, defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton, cornerback Josiah Scott, and offensive lineman Tre’Vour Wallace-Simms – on the team’s reserve/COVID-19 list.
