WASHINGTON — American diplomats who are the global face of the United States are struggling with how to demand human rights, democracy and rule-of-law abroad amid concerns overseas and criticism at home over the Trump administration’s strong-arm response to the protests across the country.

Diplomats are being confronted by the unrest arising from the death of a black man in police custody in Minneapolis, assaults by security forces on protesters and journalists nationwide, and a tear-gas attack that Trump administration officials ordered this past week on peaceful protesters outside the White House.

Stay-At-Home 2.0 Order Slated To End In New Hampshire Soon

CONCORD, NH — The state of New Hampshire has created a new program to encourage Granite Staters to get a new coronavirus test — and Gov. Chris Sununu is signing up to get one, too.

The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services’ new “asymptomatic spread assessment program” or ASAP testing initiative has been created to find residents who might be infected with COVID-19 and just do not know it. Sununu said he had not had a test yet either but has not symptoms since the pandemic started in early March. But now, he would be getting one, too.

“We really want to encourage everyone, even if you don’t have no symptoms at all, to get a test,” Sununu said. “There is a lot of asymptomatic spread that has been identified, not just here in New Hampshire, but across the country, and we want everyone to know those doors

Health Officials Report 6 More Coronavirus Deaths, 317 Cases

SEATTLE, WA —Wednesday state health officials confirmed six new deaths linked to COVID-19 in Washington and 317 new confirmed cases of the disease.

Three of the deaths were reported in King County. The remainder were in Yakima, Pierce and Snohomish counties. Yakima County also had the brunt of the new cases, with 189 lab-confirmed infections.

The new numbers mean a total of 22,484 cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed in the evergreen state since the outbreak began, and 1,135 people have died. A total of 377,327 Washingtonians have been tested for the coronavirus, meaning roughly six percent of tests come back positive.
