CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — E.J. Liddell was maybe the biggest recruit to get away from Illinois coach Brad Underwood. And the Belleville (Ill.) West product proved it again on Saturday.

A year after scoring a season-high 17 points in a win over Illinois, the two-time Illinois Mr. Basketball scored a career-high 26 points and added a team-high seven rebounds to lead No. 21 Ohio State to an 87-81 win at No. 14 Illinois.

Ohio State, which has won three straight games, led for 38 minutes. After a four-game win streak, the Illini (9-5, 5-3 Big Ten) have lost back-to-back games for the first time this season.

Liddell, a career 18.2 percent three-point shooter, made a career-high four 3-pointers, and Ohio State (11-3, 5-3 Big Ten) shot 11 of 21 from beyond the arc, including 7 of 11 during the first half.

Find symmetrical, French design in this ‘soft contemporary’ five-bedroom home in Old Preston Hollow

A combination of French architecture and modern details, the symmetrical design of this Old Preston Hollow home is apparent from the curb.

The home was initially built as a speculative home in 2018 by Barrow Builders Group. Listing agent Gretchen Brasch said the sellers have lived in the home gently, so it still looks new.

Brasch said this property in particular is perfect for those looking to buy a new build because, though it is a few years old, it still has the shine of newness but is completely finished out.

“It’s that best way to buy new construction, because it has that bonus of completion,” she said.

Kansas City Newspaper Urges Mike Pompeo to ‘Stay Away’ from Home State

The Kansas City Star urged U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to stay away from his home state of Kansas on Wednesday as it argued that the state would be “much better” without the top Trump administration official.

Publishing an op-ed as the House voted to impeach President Donald Trump for a second time, the newspaper argued that America would be “better” once Pompeo had left office, and hit out at his “sad record” at the Department of State.

The Kansas City title, based in the Missouri city bordering with Kansas, added that Pompeo had tried “his best to wreck” American foreign policy as the incoming Joe Biden administration neared the Oval Office.

“In about a week, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s service will mercifully come to an end,” the Kansas City Star wrote. “America will be better when he leaves office. Kansas will be much better if he decides

Bicycle House From ‘Fixer Upper’ Season 1 on the Market for $550K

After the makeover, the home was put on the market by its owners in July 2017, at $375,000. The place sat on the market for months, but while the sellers waited for a buyer to appear, they pocketed plenty of short-term revenue. In early 2018, the home was listed on VRBO as a vacation rental for $250 a night.

The home finally sold in April 2018 for $293,750. The current owner picked it up as an investment property, and it’s been a successful short-term rental ever since. The current listing on VRBO quotes a nightly price of $267 and
